A Higher Power

In 2006, the Church of England launched the Shrinking the Footprint campaign to push its 42 dioceses and 16,000 churches to live its values of care for creation. With the Church committing to cut its carbon emissions by 80 percent by 2050, churches of all sizes are now getting involved, from Gloucester Cathedral installing solar on its centuries-old structure to Holy Trinity Parish in London “building with awareness” with energy-efficient materials.
